Chemo Cap Report
By Dolores Roguszka
We have recently added the Great Land Infusion Pharmacy to our list of clinics receiving our chemo caps. This was at the suggestion of member Theresa Geiger, who is receiving her chemo treatments at Great Land. Her first session went well. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Theresa, as you do battle with this disease.

We will also be making a small distribution of caps to other clinics before the end of March. We have hats in some beautiful pastel colors that will be perfect for new Easter hats! They made us smile when we saw them and we’re sure they will lift the spirits of patients receiving them.

Chemo Cap Contest Awards Increased!
By Dolores Roguszka
Great news from our AWSG Board! Chemo Cap Contest winnings have just been increased from $25.00 to a total of $50.00! First place award will be $25.00, second place $15.00 and third place $10.00. All in the form of a gift certificate to your favorite yarn shop.

Of the votes cast at our upcoming May Potluck meeting, the hat receiving the most votes will take first place; next most votes, second place and third most votes, third place.

Contest entries may be for either a man, woman or child. Materials used may be any soft, washable fiber, and must be identified. Hats may be knitted, crocheted or sewn. Makers name, address and contact information must also be provided with each entry. Two entries per person will be permitted. These entries will be a part of the table décor at the May Potluck where they will be available for viewing prior to the vote.

Entries must be in my hands by May 1. If you have questions, contact me at dande80@alaska.net or call 346-1024.
